[Webinar recording] Lessons learned from the recent CrowdStrike event: How to maximize protection and minimize disruption

About this webinar

In July 2024, the CrowdStrike event was triggered by a faulty update that affected 8.5 million Windows devices, amounting to a financial loss of $1.15B in the banking sector and $5B among Fortune 500 companies. The largest outage in history demonstrated to firms of all sizes that anyone can experience IT-related operational disruptions.

While this wasn’t a cyberattack, it does raise important questions about preparedness for such events. It’s crucial for organizations to not only focus on preventing disruptions but also on how to quickly recover from them.

Watch this 30-minute recording featuring cyber insurance and cybersecurity experts from Brown & Brown Insurance, Coalition, and Drawbridge on lessons learned from the Microsoft outage and how organizations can better react, remediate, and prepare for a cyber event and avoid great financial loss.

Rebecca Thomas, Head of Account Management at Drawbridge, will interview Anju Owad, SVP at Brown & Brown Insurance and Robert Jones, Global Head of Claims at Coalition, to discuss:

  • Material impact on Asset Managers as a result of the CrowdStrike event.
  • Address how cybersecurity coupled with a comprehensive cyber insurance program can decrease operational downtime and minimize financial loss.
  • Provide perspective and answer questions on preparedness, cyber attacks, and cyber insurance coverage.
